EMC, one of the leaders in information systems, is close to announcing its plans to build an R&D center in the Negev. The facility will be built in the high-tech park near Ben Gurion University in Beersheva.
EMC joins many multi-national companies which have set up shop in Israel, including Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, IBM, and Intel.
EMC's decision to open up their facility in the Negev is part of the government's push to provide incentives for companies which open up facilities in the Negev, the southern part of Israel.
EMC is a major developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions.
