Intel's new microprocessor, "Sandy Bridge," has been developed at Intel's R&D facility in Haifa. Production of the chip will begin in late 2010. The new chip combines graphic core processing alongside a central processing unit. Intel's new development will compete against NVIDIA and AMD, the other market leaders.
The announcement was made yesterday at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.
